Became a citizen in 1769, repatriated (to Germany?) 1786. His wife Susanna Wieetmann had remained in Germany with two daughters. He had a son, Johannes Marthinus b. 1784 by his slave Lea. Both were manumitted (freed) in 1786, and baptised 29 Jun 1787. He also had an daughter, Christina Sophia (29 Jun 1787) (See also Generale Monsterrolen) Johan married Susanna WEETMANN. Johan next married Elizabeth Christina HENDRIKSE. Johan next married Johanna Magdalena Catharina BREDENKAMP, daughter of Johannes Christoffel BREDENKAMP and Anna COETZEE, on Jun 1, 1794 in Cape Town South Africa.1 (Johanna Magdalena Catharina BREDENKAMP was christened on Dec 6, 1778 3.) |
