• Historical. 1 General Notes: According to his will he was never married and left his possessions to his nephew Wilhelm
(Willem) (b2c3) married to Susanna Hattingh. Very little is known about him apart from an application for a hunting-licence on 16 Nov 1737,. the fact that he reported back from hunting on 25 Aug 1739 and was then farming in the Stellenbosch-area. His will was drawn-up on 22 June 1768 and was handed in (after his death) 20 July 1770 (Ref. KAB 1/STB 18/14 96, Esterhuijsen, Christoffel, testament 1768)
