  Noted events in his life were:

• Historical. According to the Death Certificate of his father, he was present at the death. However we have not noted this son before.

• Historical. Again, G.J. Pretorius signed the certificate of the marriage of William Marthinus Davel and Helena (Elena) Pretorius, dated 27 Oct 1914, as a witness calling himself "Brother of the bride". Also J (?) S Pretorius signed as "Sister in law of bride" and we do not have a record of her eiither.
