• Historical. 1 2 JULIUS the eldest who grew up on the farm KAMFERSKRAAL near NELSPOORT - was mostly schooled with tutors on the farm - did go in 1872 to Diocesan College in Cape Town - later he was to farm for Sir John Molteno at HOPEWELL under his FATHER Henry's overall management - ulius was an able shottist (many awards)- he and his brother Harry (Henry) took part in a big competition in Grahamstown in 1886. Later Julius was to become a Mayor of BEAUFORT WEST from Sept. 13 1932 - to 1937. There is a Jackson Street in Beaufort West (although he never lived in that street!)

Julius married Miriam HALLETT. (Miriam HALLETT was born in 1854, died on 23 Aug 1929 in Beaufort West South Africa and was buried in Methodist Cemetery Beaufort West..)
