SCHOEMAN, Philip Rudolph Botha 1
• Occupation. 1 He was farming on the farm Roweland near the mouth of the Gourits River, and when the great bridge was about to be built, he obtained the contract to supply provisions to the workers. They lived for a few years in a house next to the bridge, but this was demolished when the new freeway was built. Philip married Catharina Elizabeth HONIBALL on 22 Nov 1881 in Mosselbay, Cape Colony, Southern Africa.1 (Catharina Elizabeth HONIBALL was born in 1865, christened in 1865 in Mosselbay, Cape Colony, Southern Africa, died on 3 Mar 1939 in Mosselbay, Cape Colony, Southern Africa 1 and was buried in Old Cemetery Mossell Bay.) |
