• Family. ¹ They had two children, Steve, who became an architect and a colonel in the SADF, and Doreen who married a Natal businessman, an Estonian immigrant.

Arthur married Beatrice SCHOEMAN, daughter of Philip Rudolph Botha SCHOEMAN and Catharina Elizabeth HONIBALL.
