• Historical. His family say that he first farmed in Modderfontein, District Newlands (now in Johannesburg). During the Anglo-Boer war he stood by Oom Paul (Kruger) but later went to Ceylon (now Sirrilanke). During the ship journey he lost his little finger, but he also had double jointed thumbs.
Wynand married Johanna Maria SMITH. (Johanna Maria SMITH was born on 22 Dec 1866 and died on 11 Dec 1942.)
