  Noted events in his life were:

• Emigration. On the 10th Dec 2002, the family emigrated to live in Mapleton, on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland, Australia.

• Occupation. Dorothy and Mike bought a property to operate a B&B at Mapleton.
They retired in 2010 and still live on the same property.

• Residence. As at March 2011 he and Dorothy were in a small town, Narrabri, New South Wales, Australia

Michael married Dorothy Isabelle FAIRBAIRN, daughter of Edward Patrick FAIRBAIRN and Amyand Mary BEVAN, on 2 Jun 1973 in Harare Zimbabwe. (Dorothy Isabelle FAIRBAIRN was born on 13 Feb 1952 in Umtali, Now Mutare, Zimbabwe.)
