HELM, Samuel Peter

  Noted events in his life were:

• Ordination: as NG minisrer and was a missionary: Zoutpansberg. ¹ Samuel assisted as missionary first in Uitenhage and Oudsthoorn before becoming minister in Britstown and later Soutpansberg. He founded the mission in Banyailand before malaria forced him southwards where he led the first evangelical movement in the Transkei.

Samuel married Johanna Elizabeth LANGE on 9 Apr 1895 in Uitenhage. (Johanna Elizabeth LANGE was born on 16 Nov 1854 in Uitenhage and died on 16 Apr 1936 in Sea Point, Cape Town, Cape Colony, Southern Africa.)
