• Alt Name. According to Mark Spyker, he spelt his surname Spijker which was believed to have been changed to Spyker by either John ( son of Jan Bloemendaal Spyker), or his grandfather. Owen Ross Spyker, because it appears that many of his older brother John's family reverted to using Spijker.

Jan married Johanna Cornelia Wilhelmina KOTZE. (Johanna Cornelia Wilhelmina KOTZE died on 1 Feb 1899.)
